Kenneth L. Kutcher
Ken
Kutcher practices in the areas of real estate, land use, administrative
law and land use litigation. He has appeared before a wide
variety of public agencies, including planning commissions,
city councils, architectural review boards, landmarks commissions,
zoning administrators, the California Coastal Commission, the
Alcoholic Beverage Control Department, and various state and
federal courts. In addition, he has formed many condominium
owner associations.
Kutcher received his bachelor of arts degree in economics, magna cum laude, from
the University of Southern California in 1980. As an undergraduate, he was elected
as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He received his juris doctor
in 1983 from the University of California at Los Angeles, where he was appointed
to the Order of the Coif. During one of his semesters, he served as a law clerk
to the Honorable Winslow Christian in the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate
District.
Kutcher has served as a board member for the Santa Monica Area Chamber of Commerce,
chaired the Chamber's Growth Management Task Force and was co-chair of the Chamber's
Land Use Committee. He also has served as a board member of various other community organizations.
His professional affiliations have included the Urban Government Section of the
American Bar Association and the Real Property Section of the Los Angeles County
Bar Association.
