Christopher M. Harding practices primarily in land use law involving the use and development of commercial, hotel, residential, mixed-use and institutional properties. He has extensive experience in land use and related litigation.

Harding is a lifelong resident of Santa Monica and is very involved in Santa Monica civic and charitable activities. He has been active with the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce for many years, serving as president of the Chamber in 1990-91. He is also a co-chair of the Chamber’s Land Use Committee and counsel to its Automobile Dealers Committee.

Harding’s civic involvement has also included serving on the City of Santa Monica’s Charter Commission, its Residential Task Force, its Pier Restoration Corporation and its Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Harding has long been a leader in community efforts in support of our local public schools in the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District, including efforts to secure additional funding for our schools. He is a member of the Steering Committee of Community for Excellent Public Schools. He has served as a member of both the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District’s Financial Oversight Committee and its Facilities Committee.

In addition, he is a past president of the Santa Monica Youth Athletic Foundation and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica.
